England are through to the final of Euro 2024 after a dramatic victory over the Netherlands.
England beat the Dutch 2-1 in Wednesday night’s semi-final clash.
Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins stole the headlines with his fantastic 90th minute goal, which was assisted by Chelsea’s Cole Palmer.
Gareth Southgate’s two substitutes combined perfectly to put the Three Lions into Sunday’s final against Spain.
For Palmer, he made yet another positive impact as a substitute in this summer’s tournament.
The Chelsea attacker still hasn’t started any England match at the Euros, but is proving to be a vital part of the squad with these cameos from the bench.
His forward pass against the Netherlands found Watkins, who took one touch out of his feet before firing in a smart low finish.

Ian Wright reacts to Cole Palmer impact
Ian Wright described the match-winning assist from Chelsea’s Palmer in the England win over the Dutch as “perfect”.
“Ollie Watkins’ game is about stretching and getting beyond defenders,” Wright said on ITV 1 during coverage of England vs Netherlands.
“He is in between players. His movement has purpose. It’s in his mind to get ready. This is what Ollie Watkins does. This is the exact attitude I would want to have.
“You want Cole Palmer to come on and hit a pass that is perfect. In the moment, get back to the basics. It was absolutely perfect.
“Nobody did that to those defenders all night. They had an easy ride until he came on.”
Chelsea will have at least one European champion
Chelsea duo Palmer and Conor Gallagher are part of the England squad that go into this weekend’s final as slight underdogs.
Meanwhile, Blues left-back Marc Cucurella is a key starter for Spain, who have won six out of six games en route to the final.
Let’s hope there’s no bad blood between the Chelsea teammates afterwards.
