Chelsea have signed several young players this summer, as they have done in recent transfer windows.
Since being taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, there has been a huge focus on bringing in youngsters with potential.
This summer, for example, Chelsea have bought Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman and Renato Veiga. They have also agreed a deal with Palmeiras to sign Estevao Willian, who is still only 17 years of age.
Estevao cannot officially join the Blues until he turns 18, but he is a prime example of the profile of player they have been targeting.
So is Guiu, and Chelsea fans are keen for Guiu to remain at the club instead of going out on loan.

Marc Guiu ready for the Premier League
Guiu also looks keen on remaining at Chelsea, with the 18-year-old claiming that he thinks he is ready for Premier League football.
Speaking to the Daily Mail and other publications about the matter, Guiu said: “I think I’m ready. We work very hard every day both on and off the pitch, on the physical aspect and the practical. So I think I’m ready to be on the pitch.”
Enzo Maresca did say that Guiu would be retained but, with the transfer window still open, Chelsea still have the chance to bring another centre-forward in.
That could easily limit the amount of game time Maresca is able to give Guiu and cause the Spaniard to leave the club on loan.
Marc Guiu’s stats in pre-season
Based on Maresca’s use of Guiu in Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States, the new Chelsea manager could very well have a role for him in the 2024/25 campaign.
Guiu has played in all four of the Blues’ friendlies so far, including their latest one against Manchester City.
He has also scored one goal, which came in his side’s 3-0 victory over Club America. Guiu is not going to fix every problem at Chelsea, but it does look like he has something to offer.
Chelsea are delighted with their purchase of Guiu, and he will be just as happy with his move to Stamford Bridge, especially if he gets to make his Premier League debut this season.
