A handful of Chelsea supporters on social media had total respect for the reportedly bold decision recently made by Callum Hudson-Odoi.
According to football.london, Hudson-Odoi decided not to link up with the England Under-21 squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers.
Instead, football.london claim the 20-year-old wants to direct his efforts towards retaining a regular spot in Chelsea’s first team.

The young attacker declined Lee Carsley’s international invitation last month as well, as he seeks to earn redemption at Stamford Bridge.
Some Chelsea fans were delighted to hear Hudson-Odoi’s verdict, admiring his dedication in capturing Thomas Tuchel’s trust.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
Callum in contention
Unfortunately for Hudson-Odoi, his decision to reject England’s previous approach did not go exactly to plan.
He has only started two domestic games for Chelsea this season, both against Aston Villa in the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
His appearance in the Super Cup final seems light years away now.

Showing Tuchel he warrants consistent minutes has not proved easy so far.
But after the Blues mini dip in form, perhaps the manager will look more fondly upon including Hudson-Odoi.
Room for improvement
A brief cameo away to Juventus mid-week highlighted how the converted wing-back can positively impact the team.
Whilst his defensive attributes need fine-tuning, Hudson-Odoi arguably offers more offensively than Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James.
Especially in one v one situations, where the natural winger inside him comes to the forefront.

Whilst a majority of the Chelsea squad jet off with their respective countries, Hudson-Odoi can demonstrate he belongs in Tuchel’s prominent plans.
England Under-21s will be covered in blue despite this particular absence.
Loanees Conor Gallagher and Levi Colwill earned a call-up.
Marc Guehi received the captain’s armband, whilst Tino Livramento was also included.
