Journalist Santi Aouna has claimed Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is today having his medical ahead of his Chelsea exit.

He claimed on Twitter that he will complete a move worth a fee of around £12m.

It has looked for over a year now that both parties were trying to bring an end to a rocky relationship which got underway in 2020.

He was brought in at the request of Frank Lampard, and even during his temporary spell back at the club last season he was still claimed to be a massive fan of.

This was not the same for the rest of the people who had managed Chelsea in this time though. The Morocco international did not spend enough time on the pitch to even score a goal last season.

He looked set for a move away in January on deadline day, however a loan deal to PSG collapsed at the final moments as the Blues themselves ensured they’d bring in Enzo Fernandez.

Ziyech to have medical today

This will have obviously frustrated him, especially when he arrived back in West London and saw the club had signed two new young wingers for big money.

There is a lot of hope at the club that Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke make it into the first team on a regular basis.

This has left Ziyech surplus to requirements, with Aouna claiming he is now headed for his medical before a move to Saudi Arabia.

He said: “Médical tests scheduled in the next hours for Hakim Ziyech to Al Nassr.  Transfer fee : €15M. Contract : 3 years | Salary : ~ €12M.”

He will be joining both N’golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly, who have already secured their own lucrative moves out there this summer.
