‘I’ve spoke to a few’: Tubes shares what Chelsea’s players have been telling him about Graham Potter recently

Soccer AM’s Tubes has shared that the Chelsea players love life under Graham Potter.

Potter, who took charge as Chelsea’s new manager last month, appears to be settling well into his role at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are on an eight-game unbeaten run since the new boss took charge, which they’ll be hoping to extend in this evening’s Champions League group stage match away to Red Bull Salzburg.

It’s the Englishman’s most high-profile job to date in management, but the early signs are very positive for the former Brighton boss.

Chelsea players love Potter

Blues fan and Soccer AM regular Tubes claims several Chelsea players have told him how great the new head coach is.

“I’ve spoke to a few of the [Chelsea] boys and they say Graham Potter is unbelievable. His training sessions are superb, they say he’s a top bloke. His management team — top blokes. They absolutely love him,” Tubes said on Ben Foster’s YouTube channel.

If the players are happy, it bodes well for Potter in terms of what he can achieve at Stamford Bridge.

It’s a seriously talented group at his disposal that just needs some finetuning to push hard for silverware again like in the past couple of years.

Potter influence is building

It’s going to take some time for Chelsea’s new coach to influence his playing style, especially when the sheer amount of fixtures means less time on the training pitch.

However, Brentford’s Thomas Frank recently said the biggest change at Chelsea since Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel in the managerial dugout is the flexibility in formations.

Blues supporters have seen plenty of different combinations and formations during the opening phase of Potter’s reign.
