Chelsea will have to wait another two weeks before they get their own European adventure officially underway with the Conference League.
The Blues made hard work of their qualifying tie for the competition, however Enzo Maresca succesfully navigated a path to the competition’s group stages.
This week saw the Champions League return in it’s new format, with a number of players already making their impact.
One of those was Jhon Duran, who Chelsea will no doubt still be monitoring after being really interested in signing him over the summer.
Another player who has ties to the Blues who made his mark on the competition was Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

Jadon Sancho praises Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
The former academy star found the net twice last night, with him now looking as if he is going to be the next big star coming out of the Bundesliga side.
One figure who was particularly impressed was one of his predecessors Jadon Sancho, who is currently at Stamford Bridge.
The England international took to Bynoe-Gittens’ Instgram to praise him for his display.

Sancho has got off to a good start to life since his deadline day move to Chelsea, with him being one of the difference makers in their 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
Sancho trained on his own earlier this week
He will now be looking to gain full match fitness, with him completing some training on his own earlier this week.
It will not be long though before he is pushing for a start for his new side, although there is plenty of competition for places on the wings at Stamford Bridge.
One figure who seems to be out of the plans at the moment is Mykhailo Mudryk, with him seeming to fail to impress Maresca so far.
This has led to reports that he could be surplus to requirements in West London, and potentially on the move when the transfer window opens again.
