Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell has received some light-hearted criticism on Instagram tonight from close friend James Maddison.
Chelsea recorded a crucial first win of their Premier League season on Friday night, securing a 3-0 home success over Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.
Raheem Sterling (two) and Nicolas Jackson were on the scoresheet to secure the Blues a convincing victory.

Ben Chilwell, who captained the hosts due to the Reece James absence, continued in a wing-back role that allows him to get very high up the pitch for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Remarkably, the 26-year-old did waste a golden chance during the second half to get on the scoresheet himself.
The English full-back managed to drive through into the penalty box and had the goal at his mercy, but he attempted a slide pass to Sterling that was cut out.

Chilwell has joked about his own individual error in an Instagram post immediately after the game.
There’s been a humorous response in the comment section from Tottenham star Maddison. There’s clearly a great off-field relationship between the former Leicester teammates as Maddison has ripped into the Chelsea defender.
Chilwell wrote on Instagram: “Absolute honour to lead the boys out tonight at the Bridge. Ps. Shooting practise for me tomorrow.”
Maddison replied: “You don’t need to practice shooting bro, you need to practice deciding to shoot.”

Chilwell is usually a safe option when it comes to goalscoring full-backs, but a moment of craziness cost him a golden chance to score against Luton.
Thankfully, he can joke about the moment because it didn’t impact the result for his side.
Jamie Carragher described the Chilwell moment as “awful” during live commentary on Sky Sports.
