Jamie Carragher has predicted Chelsea to just miss out on a top-four finish in the new Premier League season.
It’s that time of year when pundits and fans put together their predictions for the new Premier League campaign, which officially kicks off this week when Burnley face Manchester City on Friday night.
For Chelsea, their season begins on Sunday afternoon when they host rivals Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
All eyes will be on Mauricio Pochettino after he became the latest Blues head coach and sealed a return to England.

Speaking on The Overlap, Carragher has made his early season prediction for the Premier League.
He’s tipping Pochettino’s Chelsea to end up in fifth spot and narrowly miss out on Champions League qualification.
Carragher said: “I’ll go Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham.”

Recent history suggests finishing outside the top four is a huge disappointment for Chelsea, but we may need a reality check when looking at this season’s aspirations.
Pochettino is taking charge of a Blues team that finished 12th in the league last season, albeit there’s been a bit of an overhaul of the squad.
With no European football this season, Chelsea should be able to have a real crack at the Premier League without a pile up of European fixtures.
It feels like a sizeable job Pochettino has taken on in West London, though.
