Jamie O’Hara has described one Chelsea star as a “tasty player” and admitted that he’s actually a huge fan of his.

While you can criticise the chaos and strategy of Chelsea in the last couple of years, there’s no doubting that they’ve got a talented group of players at their disposal in this 2024/25 season.

Speaking via The Rest Is Football before the campaign started, Gary Lineker tipped Chelsea to miss out on European football. We’ve got a little bit more confidence in the current Blues squad, though.

Jamie O’Hara loves Noni Madueke

TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara is a giant admirer of Chelsea and England winger Noni Madueke.

O’Hara told talkSPORT (10:59pm, 10 September): “I really like him. He’s direct, he’s good on the ball, and he comes inside. I think he’s really, really good. Tasty player.”

Madueke, 22, is in the spotlight right now after a quick start to the new season, scoring four goals in four Chelsea appearances. In addition, the £100,000-a-week star (Salary Sport) made his senior England debut earlier this week, when he assisted a Harry Kane goal in the 2-0 Nations League victory over Finland.

How many goals will he get?

Realistically, Madueke should be aiming to smash double digits for goals this season, especially after his quick-fire start.

The fast right-winger, who loves to cut infield on his stronger left foot, does bring a fantastic directness and dynamism to the starting XI. Hopefully, he’s now got the confidence to kick on and be more consistent.

It seems pretty evident from the early weeks of the season that Madueke suits the style of Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, who relies heavily on his wide players in the attacking phases.
