Team selection has been very difficult for Enzo Maresca to keep balanced this season due to the amount of quality players he has at his disposal at Chelsea.
At times the boss has made as many as 11 changes when the competitions shift, with a number of players being forced to earn their minutes in the Conference League.
Their most recent outing was an 8-0 hammering of Noah, where Mykhailo Mudryk would’ve felt like he did enough to earn a start against Arsenal.
This was not the case though, with Noni Madueke storming down the tunnel after his appearance did not go to plan.

Jason Cundy says Christopher Nkunku has wasted his Chelsea chance
Christopher Nkunku is one of the players who has used that time to great effect this season. He is currently the club’s top scorer in all competitions.
However, this has not translated to minutes in the Premier League, with the Frenchman starting just one game all season.
Jason Cundy has stated though that he can’t make an argument for Nkunku being in the starting side at the moment.
He said to TalkSPORT: “He had his chance against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup, and he was disappointing. When those opportunities come, you’ve got to make sure you take them. We’ve seen in the Conference League he can score goals. It was very noticeable that he didn’t celebrate the goals he scored [against Noah].
“He must be incredibly frustrated, but right now I can’t make a case for him being in the team. I can’t naturally put him in right now.”
Nkunku frustrated at Chelsea
Reports have started to come out to state that Nkunku is concerned about his lack of minutes at the club, with him not joining the club to play second fiddle to anyone.
Injuries have limited his ability to feature much since joining the club. Cole Palmer described Nkunku’s start to life at Chelsea as ‘unlucky’.
Nkunku is really going to have to take his chance if Nicolas Jackson falls to a suspension in the coming weeks.
The striker is currently on four Premier League yellow cards, one away from being forced to miss a match.
