Enzo Fernandez impresses again

Fernandez yet again showed why Chelsea pushed so hard to sign him from Benfica in January.

The 22-year-old central midfielder bossed things for large proceeding with his passing and aggression. It was great to see such a delicate assist as well, which highlights he offers so much in all areas of the pitch.

When deciding his player of the match, Jenas told BT Sport (2:25pm, 11 February): “I’m going to go with Enzo Fernandez. I think he’s been solid in the second-half when they’ve had those moments of instabilities. He’s put in some vital challenges. He’s been very good on the ball. Obviously his assist in the first-half.”

In our view, Fernandez is just getting started in a Chelsea shirt.

He’s had different combinations alongside him in the midfield already so it will take time to build relationships. His partnership with Felix seemed to hit it off straight away today, though.

Hernan Crespo has tipped the Argentina international to become one of the best midfielders in history.

The early signs of the midfielder is that Chelsea have got a huge gem.
