Joao Pedro has been discussing Alejandro Garnacho after Chelsea’s acquisition of the winger from Manchester United.
Garnacho was at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to watch Pedro score for the Blues once again.
Pedro scored the opener in Chelsea‘s 2-0 win against Fulham, his fifth goal for the club since joining them from Brighton & Hove Albion last month.
Joe Cole lauded Pedro after the full-time whistle, highlighting his improvement as the game went on.

Joao Pedro hails Alejandro Garnacho as a ‘brilliant player’
The next time Pedro plays for Chelsea, he could be lining up alongside Garnacho following his arrival from Old Trafford.
The Brazilian already has high hopes for the 21-year-old, describing him as a “brilliant player”.
“Garnacho is a brilliant player,” Pedro was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official club website after the game. “We are very happy he is with us, we welcome him into the group and we hope he can help us in the next few weeks after the international break.”
Chelsea paid just £40m to sign Garnacho from their Premier League rivals United. It has been reported that United are actually happy with the Garnacho deal, but having once valued the Argentina international much higher than that, some will be disappointed with how much he has gone for.
Enzo Maresca now looks like he has enough options on the wings; however, centre-forward has suddenly become a problem for the Italian.
Liam Delap sustained a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s triumph over Fulham, leaving Maresca in need of another No.9. Chelsea have since told Nicolas Jackson to return from Germany, with the Club World Cup winners no longer keen to send him to Bayern Munich on loan after Delap’s injury.

Joao Pedro on his goal against Fulham
As well as discussing Garnacho’s arrival, Pedro also spoke about his goal against Fulham and how it came about.
“Yes, it was really pleasing to score,” the Brazil international said. “We worked on it [corner routines] in the week. I knew that if the ball went behind or over the defender, then I needed to be in the right position and to be ready. Thankfully it worked out that way and I was very happy to score.”
Cole Palmer missed the game because of injury, so there was a lot of pressure on Pedro, who has quickly become Chelsea’s main source of goals after his English teammate.
But the former Brighton man managed to deliver and will need to continue to do so if Chelsea cannot address their striker issue.
