Chelsea have plenty of players set to represent their nations over the next couple of weeks, however there are some who have missed out on a call-up.

Enzo Maresca will actually be delighted to see some of his top stars remain at Cobham, with the injury list at the club extensive at this stage.

Reece James has pulled out of the England squad due to a minor injury, however it is not expected to be a major issue for the skipper.

Thomas Tuchel originally named him in the side for games against Wales and Latvia, and started him in both games during the September break.

He won’t be there this time, and The Chelsea Chronicle have pointed out the main players who have missed out on a call-up for their country.

Robert Sanchez

It has been a far better last few months for Robert Sanchez in a Chelsea shirt, spanning from his brilliant performances in the Club World Cup.

The shot stopper was last named in the Spain squad at the end of 2024, however he will not be present for games against Georgia and Bulgaria, while fellow goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen does jet off to represent Denmark.

Trevoh Chalobah

Tuchel handed Trevoh Chalobah his England debut at the end of last season, however they were undone by Nicolas Jackson’s Senegal in an international friendly.

The centre-back didn’t receive a call-up in January, and despite one of the few fit centre-backs at Stamford Bridge, he has not been selected for the latest squad, which will have no Chelsea representation at all.

Jorrel Hato

Despite being just 19, Jorrel Hato has six appearances under his belt already for Netherlands, although he won’t add to that in this break.

The defender can take great encouragement from his cameo appearance off the bench against Liverpool, slotting into centre-back seamlessly amid their injury crisis at the back.

Andrey Santos

Andrey Santos would likely have been in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad had it not been for an injury suffered recently with Chelsea.

Maresca has confirmed Santos will return after the break, and his youthful age and great talent shouldn’t see his exclusion become a regular occurence.

Joao Pedro

Joao Pedro returned to the Brazil setup in the last break, however will not be alongside Estevao Willian in October.

This may be good news for Chelsea following his recent dry spell in front of goal, with Pedro playing through the pain barrier recently.
