Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris teased Ben Chilwell after the England international scored an unusual goal in their 4-1 win over Sheffield United.
The 23-year-old’s strike was crucial for the Blues. Thanks to the goal, Chelsea walked into the dressing room with a one-goal lead after David McGoldrick’s early effort and Tammy Abraham’s equaliser.
Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale failed to stop Hakim Ziyech’s cross and the ball bounced off Chilwell’s leg into the net.
It eventually helped Chelsea cruise to victory, but Chilwell said he wasn’t sure how he scored the goal himself.

Speaking in his post-match interview, the England international told Sky Sports (via Football Daily): “I’ve been told to get in the back post, we’ve actually worked on that a lot.
“Hakim [Ziyech] cutting in, crossing it into the back post, and me or Timo [Werner] being there.
“Although I didn’t know much about it at the time, I’ll take it. It’s another goal, so I’m happy.”

After the game, Lampard’s number two Morris had a bit of fun about the goal.
“I mean nobody expects you to use the right thigh to score. So just try it, lad!” he wrote on his Instagram story along with a picture of himself talking with Chilwell.
Given the quality and accuracy of Ziyech’s crosses, particularly the ones to the far post, Chilwell could bag a few more goals by just arriving in the box at the right moment.
