There was certainly a pantomime villain in the house at Stamford Bridge at the weekend when Chelsea took on Arsenal in the Premier League.

Kai Havertz was not the most popular figure in West London as he looked to make an impact up front for the Gunners against his former side, with supporters making their feelings clear on him.

The German was booed pretty much every time he got on the ball, although looked as if he was going to get the last laugh after finding the net in the first half.

John Obi Mikel not impressed by ‘disrespectful’ Kai Havertz

The goal, which was eventually disallowed for offside, was celebrated by Havertz by shushing the home fans, further enhancing their anger towards him.

John Obi Mikel was not too impressed with Havertz’s actions celebrating what he thought was the opening goal, stating that he thought the Champions League winner was being ‘disrespectful’.

He said on the Obi One Podcast: “Looking back at it, if he wakes up this morning, I think it’s just the adrenaline and passion of the game that made him do that, but I still think it’s a bit disrespectful to a club that you’ve played for and won trophies for.

“When I played for Chelsea, I wasn’t the most liked player. Some of the fans didn’t appreciate me as much as they should. But that didn’t stop me from loving the club and doing my job.

“If you leave the football club and come back, and score, I think you should still show some respect. You can still celebrate, but not to shush the fans. I don’t know the reason why that happened, but for me it was a little bit disrespectful.”

Chelsea really impressed by Nicolas Jackson

Despite some great memories from his time at Stamford Bridge, there was certainly not that much annoyance amongst Chelsea fans when they received a high transfer fee for him in 2023.

The Blues are more than happy with Nicolas Jackson since he joined the club, and he has impressed greatly this season in particular.

His displays have kept top scorer Christopher Nkunku out of the starting side, which has seemed to cause frustration for the Frenchman.

Reports have stated that Nkunku is concerned about his minutes at the moment, and is unhappy with life at Chelsea right now.
