Chelsea youngster Omari Hutchinson has just been named the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for February.
Omari Hutchinson, who’s aged just 20, is currently enjoying a season-long loan at Ipswich Town.
The left-footed winger is now up to six goals and five assists so far in Ipswich colours, but he’s really come into his own during the last few weeks.
He scored or assisted in five of Ipswich’s six league matches last month, so it’s not a big surprise that he’s been awarded an individual prize.
Confirmed via the EFL website, Hutchinson is the February Player of the Month in the Championship.

Hutchinson’s celebrated his award with a post on his official Instagram account.
It seems like the great work he’s getting through out on loan isn’t being overlooked by those at Chelsea.
Blues midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, along with club legend John Terry, replied in the comment section.

Speaking via Substack last month, journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Hutchinson has already attracted the interest of some clubs in Germany.
In our view, Chelsea certainly shouldn’t entertain any idea of selling Hutchinson anytime soon. Instead, it would be great for him to join up with the main Blues squad in pre-season and see if he’s ready to make a first-team breakthrough next season. If not, another loan deal is the obvious path for him.
From what we’ve seen of Hutchinson, he’s still incredibly raw but this year in the second tier is proving to be brilliant for his overall development.
The skilful winger has every trick in the book to go along with lightning pace and high work rate. It’s great to see him sharpen up his end product recently, too.
Hutchinson is definitely a rising star to keep a close eye on moving forward because there could be a massive future for him if he takes the right steps.
