John Terry believes Chelsea player 'has everything' to be very best in his position

Chelsea icon John Terry said Reece James has the potential to be the best right-back of all time, as he pointed out the key to becoming one.

The legendary centre-back has recently joined Twitter and had quite a few interactions with some Chelsea fans on the platform.

One of the fan questions he responded to was about James and whether he could go down as the greatest right-back of all time.

“Potentially, yes,” Terry answered. “But I always feel longevity is the key and performing year after year makes you the very best.

“I absolutely love Reece and feel he has everything to be the very best.”

Well, if anyone knows what it takes to be one of the best of all time, it’s Terry.

At 21, James, who has had more goal contributions than any other Chelsea player in the league this season, is now already one of the best right-backs in Europe.

It is not only what he offers offensively, but he is also very reliable defensively, unlike many other full-backs and wing-backs with similar output.

But as Terry pointed out, to be considered the best of all time, James will have to prove his consistency for many years to come as well.
