Blues legend John Terry has sent a supportive message to Chelsea players ahead of Tuesday’s second-leg matcha against Borussia Dortmund.

It is a must-win game for Chelsea, who currently have a one-goal disadvantage after the defeat in the first leg.

The expected absence of leader figures; Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta, mean the younger Chelsea players will have to step up.

Fortunately for them, Terry has effectively issued a pre-match captain’s speech.

“Champions League nights at the Bridge,” the former Blues captain wrote on an Instagram story.

“Cold night with a little bit of zip on the grass…

“Unbelievable, we felt invincible at home with our supporters behind us, we have to be at it from minute one to the end.

“Get about these early tonight and set the tone of the game.

“Come on boys. Feel that Champions League music before the game.”

As Terry pointed out, playing in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd should be a huge advantage for Chelsea.

Bear in mind that, since the away goal rules in two-legged ties have been abolished, extra times and penalty shoot-outs become even more likely in European competitions.
