Chelsea have had some of the Premier League’s greatest players feature for them over the years, and John Terry believes that one of them could still feature at the highest level.
The former captain has maintained a strong interest in what is going on at Stamford Bridge, as well as with his job working with the academy at the club.
Terry is one of the Chelsea legends who have been recognised for their abilities by being inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, launched in 2021.
The Englishman joins Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Ashley Cole and Petr Cech in the illustrious club.
The big goalkeeper is widely referred to as one of the best the Premier League has ever seen in his position, and one of his former teammates believes he could still do a job now.

John Terry thinks Chelsea legend could still play Premier League football now
Tubes told Cech during an episode of ‘Golf Life’ that Terry had told him that he could still make an impact at the age of 43, saying:
“He said, you can still play Premier League football, he said you’re incredible in between the sticks.”
Cech responded with: “I could if my ankles and achilles were able to cope with the everyday practice. That’s the only problem. That’s why I retired at the end of the day. When you have the constant pain in your ankle and achilles, then suddenly the joy and everyday ability to train at 100% is limited.
“As soon as I put my boots on and start training, doing the same movements I’ve done for 20 years as a pro, straight away the body tells me, ‘please leave us alone’!”
“I still have the reactions, the speed, but unfortunately, that would stop me from surviving longer than a couple of weeks.”

Cech’s post-playing career
Despite featuring briefly for Arsenal after his Blues career came to an end, it didn’t take Cech long to return to Stamford Bridge.
In 2019, the Czech international returned to the club as a technical advisor, before departing from his role following the change of ownership at the club.
He even made a brief return to the pitch during the 2020/21 season for the Under 23s in Premier League 2, when the young Blues beat Tottenham.
