Liverpool and England midfielder Jordan Henderson praised Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic after his performance for the United States yesterday at the World Cup.
England and the United States played out a 0-0 draw on Friday in Group B of the World Cup, which is a result that’s probably better for Gareth Southgate’s side. However, the U.S. played some eye-catching football and will be delighted to get a goalless draw that most people didn’t predict.
Pulisic, 24, started and looked a threat as the American’s left winger.
The Chelsea wide man plays with or against the English players every week in the Premier League, so everything would’ve felt very familiar for him.
There’s been question marks from Blues fans at Stamford Bridge over his general contribution in matches, but he’s not having the same kind of issue on the international stage with his country.

Jordan Henderson praised Christian Pulisic
Henderson, who came on as a second-half substitute for England against the United States, has picked out an opposition player for credit.
“They’ve got quick wingers to counter-attack. Pulisic obviously played well. We know him from the Premier League,” Henderson said.
Pulisic, along with his U.S. teammates, did try to attack with real speed and energy last night.
These are the types of performances Chelsea fans want to see more of post-World Cup.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Pulisic’s future looks like in the second half of the season at club level.
There’s definitely room for him to impress in the Chelsea team, with no other attacking teammate really cement a spot in the XI yet.
However, it’s concerning that he’s yet to get a guaranteed run of starts since Graham Potter took charge in the managerial dugout.
