Jorginho has claimed that Mikel Arteta reminds him of Maurizio Sarri.
Jorginho, 31, made the controversial move last month from Chelsea to Arsenal, ditching mid-table in the process for a title race this season.
The defensive midfielder played under a number of managers during four-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge, including 64-year-old Maurizio Sarri.
It’s no secret the Italy international was integral to the plans of Sarri, who did leave Chelsea in 2019 after a year in charge that included winning the Europa League. He was coached by him during time at Napoli, too.
He’s now playing under the management of 40-year-old Arteta, who’s working wonders at the Emirates Stadium as a young boss.

Jorginho has now had a small amount of time playing under Arteta and has quickly drawn an interesting comparison to Sarri.
“It reminds me a little bit of Sarri, so I was using it to work with the manager looking at details and for me details in the end make the difference between a good team and a winning team,” Jorginho told beIN SPORTS.
Both Arteta and Sarri prefer a 4-3-3 formation, which allows Jorginho to sit at the base of a midfield trio.
They’re certainly offensive managers that like to attack, with Arteta learning from the Pep Guardiola school of coaching before taking the Arsenal position.

Chelsea’s year with Sarri at the helm was certainly eventful and some of the fanbase would have loved to see more of him in the dugout. He did leave and go on to win a Serie A title with Juventus, though.
He claimed in 2021 he would have loved the chance to work with Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech, who all came into the Chelsea squad after him.
It would be interesting to know what he could do with the current squad.
Graham Potter is the current Chelsea head coach tasked with succeeding at Stamford Bridge, but he’s in the unique position of having a gigantic squad full of first-team names. It makes it impossible to keep everybody happy.
