Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz showed off some of his tricks as he welcomed professional football freestyler Jack Downer at Cobham training centre.
For a video for Chelsea sponsor Three, multi-award-winning Downer a.k.a Street Panna visited the Blues’ training centre to meet the Germany international.
Havertz joined Chelsea in the summer from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal that reportedly made him the most expensive German footballer of all time (Transfermarkt).
Despite the obvious pressure, the 21-year-old seems to have enjoyed the first few months of his Chelsea career thanks to his welcoming teammates.
“I think I settled in very [well] — all the teammates are very kind and friendly to me and it was easy,” he told Downer about his life so far at Chelsea.
“I like the club, I like the city and now I have to work a lot.
“But, yeah, I’m very glad to be here.”
Interestingly, Havertz also said that he followed some of the biggest football icons – Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho – on social media.
“I love to watch him [Ronaldinho], but I’m not [really] like him,” he added.
“I don’t do skills [very often], only in situations where I need it.
“On social media, you see a lot of skill videos — sometimes I try to do them in the game and in training.”
Downer showed some of his favourite football tricks and often looked impressed by how quick Havertz could copy them.
“Kai Havertz, five-star skills,” he said in amazement.
