Chelsea have entered themselves into the conversation for what is likely to be the biggest deal of the January transfer window if it occurs.
Yesterday saw the Blues linked with the signing of Khvicha Kvarataskhelia from Napoli, with his time at the Serie A leaders looking as if it is coming to an end.
The Georgian international has enjoyed another strong start to the campaign on a personal level, as he keeps up his impressive run of stats since he moved there.

| Year | Games played | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024-25 | 17 | 5 | 3 |
| 2023-24 | 34 | 11 | 6 |
| 2022-23 | 34 | 12 | 10 |
Chelsea have previously been linked with the signing of Kvaratskhelia, as they considered making a double raid on Napoli with Victor Osimhen high on their list too.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia prefers move to PSG than Chelsea in January
The Blues are certainly not the only side interested in a deal for the winger. Both Liverpool and PSG are very intrigued by a potential signing.
It looks as if the player himself already knows where he wants to move to. Ben Jacobs has stated that since last summer, Kvaratskhelia had told the Ligue 1 champions that he wants to move there.
He said: “Khvicha Kvaratskhelia told PSG over the summer he wanted to join, and personal terms not a problem. Liverpool and Chelsea alert to the situation this month, as David Ornstein called.
“Both could try and change Kvaratskhelia’s mind if he becomes available at market value in January. Napoli want around €80m, a number that could increase if new suitors approach them.
“As of Thursday, PSG the only club engaged in direct talks with Napoli. No offer accepted for Kvaratskhelia yet.”
Chelsea considering signing a new winger in January
The Blues are looking at a number of positions to strengthen during this January transfer window, and wide attacker has certainly cropped up as one that they could be interested in.
Mykhailo Mudryk remains unavailable for selection, and therefore a new player to compete for minutes with Jadon Sancho for the time being would be desirable.
Chelsea are keen on signing Nico Williams too, with the Spaniard again linked with a move away from Athletic Bilbao.
It feels as if centre-back will be the priority for the Blues this month though, as they look to bolster their option off the back of injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.
