Argentine media were last night very impressed with the performance of Enzo Fernandez for his country.

He was handed an ‘8/10’ by TYC Sports for his display as the World Cup holders defeated Bolivia 3-0 in the tough conditions.

Fernandez opened the scoring for his country last night to cap off what was a great international break.

The 22-year-old put in a strong performance last time out up against Moises Caicedo and Ecuador, with his teammates being full of praise for his efforts.

However, he came out of last night’s victory with far more universal praise, after national media had mixed reviews of his display last time out.

Fernandez described as leader for Argentina

This time though TYC Sports were far happier, even claiming that the relatively young player is already looking like a leader on the pitch for his nation.

They said: “Enzo FERNÁNDEZ: 8 . High-flying football. He opened the game by going to finish the play below the goal, demonstrating his conviction, firm in the dispute for each ball and leader of several passages of the game.”

Chelsea supporters will now just be hoping to see this kind of form return when club football comes back this weekend.

The Blues are now beginning preparations for the away trip to Bournemouth on Sunday as they look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

In his new-look midfield partnership with Caicedo though, there is plenty of expectation that they are going to turn things around and push for a top four finish this season.
