Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has taken to Instagram to praise teammate Conor Gallagher for what is a big career milestone.
He commented on the club’s official Instagram post congratulating the England international for captaining the side last weekend.
Gallagher has been with the club for the majority of his life now, and it was no doubt a huge moment for him and his family when he donned the armband against Bournemouth.

No Reece James or Ben Chilwell saw the Blues needing a new leader, and the midfielder was selected over the likes of Thiago Silva and Enzo Fernandez.
While it was a huge moment off the pitch, his performance on it did not live up to the expectations he would have placed on himself.
Colwill praises Gallagher
Gallagher missed arguably the biggest chance of the afternoon when he received a cutback from Mykhailo Mudryk, when he took too long and saw his effort saved.
Another player who thought they had found the net was Colwill, whose rebound from a Raheem Sterling free-kick was from an offside position and didn’t stand.

Being a fellow graduate of the Chelsea academy, the defender was likely one of the players who was proudest to see his teammate take the armband.
This may explain why he took to social media to publicly praise Gallagher for his recent achievement.
It is likely seeing players like the midfielder, who was strongly linked with a £50m transfer over the summer, and James lead the club will be inspiration for Colwill and another of other starlets at the club that there is a pathway to the very top at Stamford Bridge.
