Levi Colwill has now shared how Chelsea teammate Conor Gallagher reacted at half-time to his red card in the last game against Brighton.
He told the Evening Standard that the captain on the day looked to motivate the rest of the squad despite leaving them down to 10 men for the entire second half.
Chelsea showed grit and determination to pick up all three points against the Seagulls, showing a lot more backbone than they did when Reece James was sent off the week before.
Colwill will have been arguably the happiest player on the pitch, despite the fact that the win came against a side he has so much respect for.
The defender found the net for the first time, with the Blues going on to win 3-2.
Gallagher however showed his inexperience as a captain with his second yellow card in the first half, although Colwill has now claimed that he was still positive during the break.

He said: “Conor was positive in the dressing room; he didn’t sit there at half-time with his head down he wanted to give us motivation as a leader should do. He’s taken that on his chin and will return.”
The England midfielder will now be missing for the first Premier League game of the season against Manchester United tomorrow.
This has left Mauricio Pochettino scratching his head over what to do, with him needing a replacement from one of his most reliable players since he joined.
He is likely to look to Cole Palmer, who has been one of the most impressive players for the club this season since his deadline day move from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old was only on the bench at the weekend due to an injury concern, however the fact that he entered the fray suggests that he is fit and ready to go.
