Chelsea are reportedly closing in on making their first big signing of the summer in the form of a Premier League striker.
The Blues are making great strides to complete a deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, after his relegation release clause has come into play.
Enzo Maresca admitted he probably needs a new striker straight after the Conference League victory over Real Betis, despite the fact that Nicolas Jackson found the net in the final.
While it is believed Delap has chosen Chelsea, the formalities need to be completed, and there are a number of stumbling blocks that could get in the way.

This could include Ipswich Town wanting a player in return, with them having to find a new striker to try and fire them back to the Premier League.
According to The Guardian, the now-Championship side are keen on bringing in Marc Guiu on loan to fill the void for the upcoming season.
The report goes on to say that the Spaniard is yet to be convinced of the move out of the Premier League, with him playing his part in Europe this season for the Blues.

Chelsea big fans of Marc Guiu
In the second half of the season, many looked at the injury to Jackson as a reason why their results began to turn in a negative direction.
Chelsea believe Guiu’s injury was big too. They had confidence in him holding down the fort if he was fit during that period of time.
He was the Conference League group stage top scorer, impressing a club legend in the process.
Joe Cole described Guiu as ‘brilliant’ after he scored a hat-trick in the competition against Shamrock Rovers.
