Former Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior could have enjoyed a swift return to football management, but instead it seems as if he wants to regroup some more.
Inheriting a fractured dressing room midway through the campaign, Liam Rosenior was completely swallowed by the club’s unrelenting pressure cookers, lasting a mere 107 days.
His ill-fated stint disintegrated into public call-outs of player commitment, dressing room rifts, and an embarrassing five-game Premier League losing streak.
Clearly battered by the scrutiny, the 41-year-old looks like a manager desperately in need of an extended break to get away from the spotlight. However, the brutal nature of football management rarely permits rest, and Rosenior has already been linked with the vacant Ipswich Town job.
If you’re the president of a football club, who do you hire first: Jose Mourinho or Xabi Alonso?🤔

OGC Nice offer Liam Rosenior the manager job
According to L’Equipe, OGC Nice made an approach for Liam Rosenior. However, he has declined and wishes to take a break following his short stint at Chelsea.
It comes as no surprise to see him want even more time off, as things ended on bad terms at Chelsea.
Plus, the fact that he left his contract early will have seen the Blues give him a nice payout, allowing him to take his time with his next move.

Liam Rosenior has a big decision to make
Given his previous success in Ligue 1 with RC Strasbourg, a return to France seemed highly plausible.
However, the allure of another job in England continues to linger. Despite warnings that taking an immediate Premier League role poses a significant risk, Rosenior may feel he has a point to prove.
It’s clear that he has the quality to manage at a high level given his impressive results over in Strasbourg, but it’s important that he bounces back in his next job. Too often we see managers crack under the pressure and just never recover, just look at Graham Potter.
