Graham Potter has claimed in his pre-match press conference that he is really looking forward to working with Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 33-year-old was brought in on deadline day for a fee of £10m, with all reports claiming that the signing was made for then manager Thomas Tuchel.
The German had worked with Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund to great success, and was seemingly keen to continue that relationship at Stamford Bridge.

However, after just one game together Tuchel was dismissed from his role, with many fearing for Aubameyang’s place in the side.
New man in charge Potter handed the Gabon international a start in his first game in charge of the club, although he was replaced and earned criticism in the media for his display.
Potter looking forward to working with Aubameyang
Despite that, Potter has claimed he has huge respect for Aubameyang, and is looking forward to working with the former Arsenal and Barcelona man.
He said: “Looking forward to working with him, enjoyed working with him in our brief time together. He’s a good guy, focused, wants to play, wants to score. Looking forward to it.”

“He has nothing to prove to me or anything negative in that regard. His career is his career, I have huge respect for that. He’s acted as a top professional and person. Looking forward to working with him.”
Reports have claimed that fellow striker Armando Broja is pushing hard for a start, which could see Aubameyang set for a spell on the bench as the 20-year-old is given an opportunity to prove himself.
However, with the month of October set to be one of the busiest in club football history, there will be plenty of opportunities for the 33-year-old to prove he has still got what it takes to contribute at the highest level.
