Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui praised Chelsea’s attacking force ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Both Sevilla and Chelsea have qualified for the next round having bagged 10 points each.
Now, the focus is on finishing top of the group, and they will face each other tonight.
Interestingly, despite holding Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge in their first encounter in October, Sevilla boss Lopetegui rates the Blues very highly.
“It is a major and exciting challenge against a team designed to win the Champions League,” he told reporters during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday (via Sevilla’s official website).
“For me, offensively speaking, the team is the best in England, with great players.
“We have the desire and motivation to play a great game against them.
“We want to continue working [and play] against a team that plays well and has a good collective performance who will force us to double our efforts to achieve victory.”
Regarding Sevilla’s team news, Lopetegui said two of his players, Luuk de Jong and Lucas Ocampos, are doubtful for the game.
“Lucas and Luuk have a small accentuated annoyance and we have to wait until tomorrow to make decisions based on how they are,” he added.
“If we normally go from day to day, now we go from hour to hour.”
