Joshua Kimmich has reminded Chelsea what could’ve been by singing the praises of Jamal Musiala.
Speaking on the BBC World Cup Daily podcast, Kimmich commented on the ability of his club and country compatriot.
Musiala will potentially be given the opportunity to show the entire globe his talents at the World Cup with Germany this winter.

Hansi Flick included the 19-year-old in his squad for Qatar, having witnessed the teenager’s rise first-hand at Bayern Munich.
Flick handed the youthful forward his Bayern debut in 2020, just a year after leaving Chelsea to join the Bundesliga giants.
Musiala has moved on from Chelsea
Cobham was home to Musiala for eight-years, but the thought of returning to his homeland was clearly too good an opportunity to turn down.
The attacker was born in Germany, although moved to England when he was seven.
Over a decade has passed since he became a blue, with the past few seasons probably a blur for the player.
He is already a two-time German top flight champion, as well as a Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup winner.

His latest chapter in an incredible story is one of World Cup fantasy, one that may well become reality in the next months
Musiala might be young in form, but football wise, he has the majority of his senior professionals.
“I think he is 19-years-old now, a lot of talent. But it’s not just the talent, he is a big player, a good person who always wants to learn move and improve,” said Kimmich on his junior comrade.
“This is really special. He is really important for the team. Football is not about your age, it’s about performance, and his performance is always at a very high level.”
Kimmich not just one of a kind
Like Germany manager Flick, Kimmich has been fortunate enough to see Musiala blossom at both domestic and international level close up.

Bayern’s brilliant midfielder has trodden a similar pathway to glory, in that he made his debut for Der FCB aged just 20.
Now regarded as one of the best in his position, starting them young is clearly the way forward where the Germans are concerned.
