Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson does not want to imagine losing Michael Olise amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are all keen on Michael Olise, according to ESPN. Elsewhere, a report from the Daily Mirror claims that the winger has a £60m release clause in his contract.

It means there is a good chance of Olise leaving Palace, but Hodgson, whose quotes have been shared by journalist Ben Jacobs on X, has made it clear that he does not want the 22-year-old to depart Selhurst Park.

He has really impressed for the Eagles this season, scoring five goals in nine Premier League games, including one against Chelsea.

Palace and Chelsea take on each other again next month, and The Guardian’s Ed Aarons says it could be a pivotal fixture in deciding Hodgson’s future.

Roy Hodgson would be sad to see Michael Olise go amid Chelsea interest

Hodgson is urging Olise to stay at Palace despite Chelsea and other top clubs circling.

On the wide man, he said: “It would be a sad day for the club [if he leaves]. I’m certain the club would like him to honour [his contract] and to help improve the team. We want to make the team stronger and not lose players to other Premier League clubs who have money on the table.”

A happy day for Chelsea if Michael Olise moves to Stamford Bridge

While Olise leaving Palace would be a sad day for the club, it would be a happy one for Chelsea if he went on to join them.

The France U21 international is such a talented winger who could really improve the Blues.

His end product has really got better over the last year or so. Last season, for example, Olise came up with 11 assists in 37 Premier League appearances. That is the sort of output you want from your wide men.
