Manchester City ace Kevin de Bruyne expressed his admiration for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante after naming the energetic midfielder in his Premier League five-a-side team.
The Premier League player of the season was asked to pick a team consisting of five players from five different Premier League teams.
Unsurprisingly, De Bruyne included one player from each of the four teams that finished in the top four this season.
“I will take [Liverpool’s Virgil] van Djik, Kante…,” the Belgium international told Copa90.
“I’ll take [Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry] Kane, I’ll put myself in it for [Manchester] City purposes.”
He also named Edouard Mendy as the final player before realising that he just named two Chelsea players and decided to go for Wolves’ Jose Sa instead.

Kante’s unclear future at Chelsea
Kante has not lived up to expectations this season, but it is pretty clear that many still consider him one of the best in his position.
As Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel also pointed out recently, the France international is a unique player who offers what other players do not on the pitch.
The 31-year-old is close to entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and there are now questions over his future.
A player of his calibre would always have plenty of suitors if Chelsea decided to offload him, but Thomas Tuchel’s comments suggest that he is keen on keeping Kante this summer.
