Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella took to Instagram after his side’s 4-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur last night to tell everyone what colour London is.
With Chelsea actually still behind the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal in the table despite beating the former, many will be saying it is still not blue.
But understandably, after such a huge win for Chelsea over their London rivals, Marc Cucurella could not resist and posted the caption “London is blue, but you already knew” under a post on Instagram.
The Spaniard was introduced in the second half of the game, coming on to replace Levi Colwill after Mauricio Pochettino decided that the 20-year-old needed to be taken off to avoid getting a second yellow card.
Cucurella had a great chance to score but could not beat Guglielmo Vicario, who was at his absolute best, but it did not prove to be costly thanks to Nicolas Jackson’s hat-trick.
Will Marc Cucurella start against Manchester City?
Cucurella has not really let Chelsea down this season since being given an opportunity by Pochettino.
However, it is quite clear that Colwill is the first-choice left-back right now. Even before Ben Chilwell’s injury, the Chelsea youngster had been playing there.
You would thus expect Colwill to start on the left side of the Blues’ defence when they welcome City to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

If he cannot play for any reason, though, then Cucurella is certainly not a bad player to come in.
In fact, according to WhoScored, he is actually averaging the most tackles per game in Pochettino’s squad at present, 3.2.
Whoever plays, hopefully he can just help Chelsea to get another positive result. A win against Tottenham is huge, but beating the Premier League and European champions would show that the Blues are actually a serious football club again. It will not be easy, but at least they have some momentum now after last night.
