BBC Pundit Glenn Murray has now claimed that one Chelsea player proved a point to manager Mauricio Pochettino in tonight’s win in the FA Cup.
He claimed during his coverage for Five Live that he believes Conor Gallagher’s last-minute goal was exactly what the home side were missing against Leeds United before he came on.
Gallagher’s 90th minute goal was enough to separate the sides, and book Chelsea’s place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

It was a nervy 3-2 victory though, where Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk had also answered some critics with goals in the first half.
The second half belonged to the visitors though, with them playing the far more impressive football at Stamford Bridge.
Murray praised Gallagher for the impact he had on the side when he came on, with him saying the goal he scored is massive for the club.
Gallagher praised by Murray
He said: “For all the money Chelsea have spent, it is a home grown talent on the turn hitting the back of the net.
“Coming off the bench, Gallagher is showing Pochettino what he is missing – massive goal for Gallagher and the club.”
Gallagher being benched today is a rarity, and likely not because of form off the back of the performance in the EFL Cup final.
After admitting the midfielder was tiring towards the end at Wembley, it was perhaps to be expected that he would be given a rest, however he proved his importance in that short cameo.
