Micah Richards has claimed he’s noticed a huge turnaround in Chelsea midfielder Jorginho for the better since Thomas Tuchel took charge as manager at Stamford Bridge.
Jorginho, who has been with the Blues since 2018, has blown hot and cold during his time in English football.
The deep-lying playmaker has always shown he’s one of the very best in Europe in terms of recycling possession. However, he’s often been criticised over his physical attributes.
Since Tuchel took charge of Chelsea in January, the Italian central midfielder has been instrumental.
The 29-year-old is one of the three senior central midfielders that Tuchel has rotated alongside N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic.
Pundit Richards has noticed a big improvement in Jorginho under Tuchel.
“Jorginho, he looks like a new player in there,” Richards told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
“What he’s (Tuchel) done since he’s come in has been a revelation. I didn’t see it when he first came, but I’ve got to give him credit when credits due. He’s been brilliant”

The Chronicle View:
Jorginho is still capable of the odd dip in concentration, but the past couple of months he’s been one of the star performers.
The ability to receive the ball off his teammates in any area of the pitch regardless of the players around him is sublime.
With Kovacic sidelined tonight against Real Madrid, it may be up to Jorginho and Kante to try combat a really strong opponent.
Jorginho has shown though that he’s capable of the ugly side of the game with defensive improvement alongside ball retention.
