Micah Richards says he would actually change the starting position of £54m Chelsea man after Arsenal draw

Chelsea fought hard and came away with a well-deserved point in their final Premier League game before the international break.

The Blues drew 1-1 with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, coming from behind to make sure they remained above their London rivals in the league for another gameweek at least.

There were a number of top individual performances from Chelsea players. Wesley Fofana thinks it was his best performance since joining the Blues.

A quiet afternoon for Cole Palmer resulted in the rest of the attackers needing to step up, and this is exactly what Pedro Neto did.

Micah Richards says Pedro Neto should play on the right

The Portugal international scored a stunning goal to bring the hosts back into the game, and he constantly looked a threat up against Ben White.

He switched to the right wing in the second half, where he carried the same attacking purpose to the opposite full-back, if anything with more purpose.

Micah Richards stated after the game that he believed that the right-wing was where Neto performs best.

He said to The Rest is Football: “He’s better on the right than the left, isn’t he? I know he was on Match of the Day the other day, wasn’t he, and he whipped in a wonderful ball from the left, and I was like, he has got to play right, he has got to play right, but I just prefer him on the right because he can play both ways.

“Going inside onto his left foot, I think it just favours him and the team.”

Noni Madueke could now drop to the bench

The goal was a perfect example of what he can do when cutting in onto his strong foot, and it could spell trouble for Noni Madueke after the international break is over.

The Englishman, who was called up again to his senior squad, has not had the best run of games of late, and could be about to drop to the bench as far as the Premier League squad is concerned.

Enzo Maresca will also be hoping to welcome Jadon Sancho back into his first team side after his illness and injury problems.
