The big news of the week as far as the Premier League is concerned is confirmation that one of its best players will be remaining in it going into next season.
Former Chelsea man Mohamed Salah has extended his time at Liverpool, likely going into the next campaign off the back of a title win and player of the season campaign.
The Blues will have been one of the sides who would have been hoping he would call it a day at Anfield. The Egyptian has five goals and four assists in Premier League games against them.
After establishing himself as one of the best to ever do it in England, it is no surprise some players are looking to base themselves on. Noni Madueke is studying Salah’s game in his attempts to improve in West London.
Given the fact that the winger has spent time at Stamford Bridge before, there was always going to be interest in where he would commit his future to, with his previous contract set to expire at the end of the season.

There was no success for him at Chelsea though, and although there was no chance of him moving to either Manchester United or Manchester City, Salah hadn’t completely shut down a move to London.
According to The Athletic, the winger felt like he had a point to prove after his failures at Stamford Bridge, keeping up hope that one of the best players in the world could move to the club on a free transfer.
However, the Blues’ transfer strategy of signing younger players on restricted wages, as well as a risk of tarnishing his legacy at Liverpool stopped this becoming a reality.
Chelsea are very much looking towards the future when it comes to signing attackers. Highly-promising youngsters Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez are set to join the club this summer.

Mohamed Salah’s Chelsea exit explained
The 32-year-old signed for Chelsea in 2015, however lasted just a single season before moving back to Serie A where he made his name at Roma.
Many have been left wondering how the Blues couldn’t see his breakout coming, as well as former teammate Kevin de Bruyne, who has gone on to achieve greatness at Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho claimed Salah wanted to leave the club, hinting at impatience from the two players in their quest to earn regular minutes.
He said: “To be honest, they left because they wanted to leave. They left because they didn’t want to wait. Their history proves that their option was good, because they did the career they did. They have reached a high standard. But sometimes kids, they do decisions like that because they cannot wait.
“They do decisions like that because they don’t have the patience to be calm and wait for the right moments and sometimes their career goes in the wrong direction for them.
“When people tell me you let go Salah go, I say exactly the opposite. I bought Salah. I was the one who said buy that guy. He was going from Basel to Liverpool and I made the fight to make him to come to Chelsea.
“Then, yes, then comes to the part where to be a Chelsea player you need to perform of you have to wait. He didn’t want to wait, he wanted to go on loan and then Chelsea at a certain point decided to sell him. He went to Fiorentina and then Roma and then Chelsea decided to sell, that was not me deciding to sell. I was saying let him go on loan if he feels he needs to play every minute of every game.
