One of Chelsea’s top performers so far this season has been Moises Caicedo in the middle of the park.
The Ecuador international has begun to silence doubters when it comes to his price tag, and he is now being recognised as one of the better players in his position.
Caicedo has formed a strong partnership with Enzo Fernandez in midfield, with the duo keeping out the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall out of regular first team minutes.

The Argentine has donned the captain’s armband this season in the absence of Reece James, however the rare occasions he has not been present has seen the responsibility left with Caicedo.
The midfielder has claimed that being named the skipper is a dream come true for him after he grew up supporting the Blues.
Caicedo’s dreams have come true being Chelsea captain
He said to the Chelsea website: “It means a lot for me. I’m so proud of myself. It’s a dream to be a captain of one of the best teams in the world. I am so grateful to him for that because without him that would have been impossible.
“It’s a dream come true because I grew up supporting Chelsea. To be a player for Chelsea and for some games to be the captain is so good for me.”
John Obi Mikel tips Caicedo to become Chelsea captain
John Obi Mikel has already claimed that he can see Caicedo becoming a long-term captain at the club, and his performances have so far backed up the responsibility he has been given.
It is at this stage unknown when James will return from the injury that has seen him not able to make his first competitive appearance under Maresca, however he will no doubt take the armband when he does eventually return.
Caicedo will be looking to add to his plethora of strong performances so far this season with another today against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
