Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo has shared what the target is for his side in the Premier League this season.

Blues midfielder Moises Caicedo, 22, is one of several players in the Chelsea squad to start well this campaign.

Enzo Maresca has made an immediate impact as the head coach at Stamford Bridge, with his side picking up 13 points from their opening six Premier League games to put them fourth in the table.

There’s certainly a few stars that have settled very quickly to life under Maresca. For example, Caicedo has started every league match so far and the central midfielder is bossing proceedings.

Speaking recently via talkSPORT, Ally McCoist said Caicedo is one of the Chelsea players who’s much improved this season.

Chelsea target in the Premier League

Caicedo has shared this week that Chelsea’s aim is to get back in the Premier League’s top four this season.

When asked if Chelsea can qualify for the Champions League this year, Caicedo told Sky Sports Premier League: “Yeah, that’s the target. We are working hard on that.”

Top four in sights

We’re demanding this talented young Chelsea group to end up in the top four at the end of the season, especially after getting off to a positive start.

Everyone is going to learn a lot more about Maresca’s side after this next set of five fixtures in the league.

Let’s hope that Chelsea can sign off for the international break with a victory at home to Nottingham Forest. Afterwards, there’s a daunting run of matches against clubs who all finished in the Premier League’s top eight last season.

The Blues have finished in the top four since the 2021/22 campaign, so now is the time for them to get back around the top after a couple of chaotic years.
