Antonio Rudiger earned praise from several of his Chelsea teammates on social media following a solid performance against Porto last night.
Rudiger was rock solid once again as the Blues secured their Champions League semi-final ticket yesterday.
A 1-0 loss against the Portuguese champions is not a true reflection of what was a very comfortable two-legged tie for Chelsea.

Only an excellent 93rd minute bicycle kick from Mehdi Taremi denied Thomas Tuchel’s team a 14th clean sheet in 18 games.
At the heart of their terrific defence return is Rudiger, who martialled the back-line once again in face of Porto’s limp threat.
This dominant display did not go unnoticed by several of 28-year-old’s Chelsea teammates.
Mateo Kovacic, Kurt Zouma, and Mason Mount all responded to Rudiger’s latest Instagram post.

Zouma and Kovacic both sat out the tie, with the latter forced out through injury.
Mount was on the pitch to witness Rudiger’s ruthless presence up close and personal.
But none of the three could overlook how well the giant German played, as he has done so often this season.

Tuchel took on the project of re-energising several members of his star-studded squad.
The likes of Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Marcos Alonso, and especially Rudiger seem reformed and ready to fight for Chelsea.
