Musonda to Celtic

On Monday, Charly Musonda completed an 18-month loan move to Scottish side Celtic. The Belgian has been involved in the first team squad this season, but hasn’t featured as much as he would’ve liked, featuring seven times in all competitions. Musonda netted once, in a Carabao Cup tie against Nottingham Forest. He signed a 5-year-deal with Chelsea earlier this season, and will return at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Baba Loan

Another player to leave the club on Monday was Baba Rahman. The Ghanaian has joined Schalke on an 18-month loan. Rahman spent the 2016/17 season on loan at the German side, and rejoins them temporarily until the end of the 2018/19 season. An injury meant he spent the start of the season at Chelsea, and now he is back to full fitness, he returns to Gelsenkirchen and the Bundesliga.

Palmieri Agreed

A deal to sign Emerson Palmieri has been agreed, according to reports. The full-back will travel to London on Tuesday to complete a medical with Chelsea. This deal has been worked on for the past few weeks, and Emerson is set to become a Chelsea player before Wednesday’s deadline. A double deal involving striker Edin Dzeko apparently dragged the deal out, but now the Blues are considering options, the full-back can finally move to Stamford Bridge.

Giroud In

Chelsea’s search for a target man to play back-up to Alvaro Morata has found another player to add to the list; Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman could be allowed to leave Arsenal if they sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund. The German side could target Michy Batshuayi on loan to replace Aubameyang, which completes the potential transfer triangle. Giroud is said to be keen on remaining in London, and a move to Chelsea could be beneficial for all parties involved.
