Chelsea’s first-team player is being tipped for a maiden senior call-up by his national side in the near future.
We’re nearly at the end of yet another international break, which has seen so many Chelsea players join up with their respective countries to play football.
Finally, the Blues are back in action this Sunday when they travel to leaders Liverpool in the Premier League. They’ll do so without the suspended pair of Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana, though.
Chelsea have been working on playing out from the back ahead of Liverpool, but let’s see if they can cope under extreme pressure at Anfield this weekend.

Luciano Spalletti on Cesare Casadei
Luciano Spalletti, the Italy manager, attended the match between Italy’s Under-21s against Republic of Ireland on Tuesday. Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei actually scored his side’s goal in a 1-1 draw with a smart finish inside the penalty box.
Interestingly, Spalletti named a trio of Italy’s U21s stars that could be knocking on the door for the senior team, including Casadei.
The Italy boss told Sky Sport: “There are guys who can be part of our group. [Tommaso] Baldanzi is the most ready, Casadei can be ready in a short time, [Wilfried] Gnonto has already been there.”
Cesare Casadei improving at Chelsea
So far, Casadei’s only played two times this season in Chelsea colours. However, we’re liking what we see from the 21-year-old youngster.
The Italian talent has mainly been a box-to-box midfielder during his development, something he can still do very well for his country because of his knack for a goal.
When it comes to Chelsea this campaign, he’s playing a bit deeper as the defensive midfielder within Enzo Maresca’s sytem.
