Terry Sheringham gave Harry Kane an ultimatum about his future following last night’s destruction of Everton.
Speaking on Sky Sports after Tottenham Hotspur ripped apart Frank Lampard’s side 5-0, Sheringham urged Kane to consider leaving North London for the sake of his career.
The Spurs striker was scintillating viewing on Monday, scoring twice and generally tearing apart the Toffees’ defence.
He looked fit, fresh and in a ferocious mood, words not often used whilst describing the England captain this season.

Where will Harry end up?
His form could be arriving at just the right time for two very separate reasons.
Antonio Conte will be delighted that the centre-forward is hitting the right notes, as Tottenham make a late dash for the Champions League slots.
But on a personnel level, Kane’s shooting boots have returned conveniently a few months before the next transfer market opens.
When the window does open, the 28-year-old’s allegiance will undoubtedly be put up for debate once again.
It was a situation the club had to face all of last summer, one Manchester City attempted to pounce upon.
Daniel Levy rejected an offer of £100m (Sky Sports), instead valuing his prized possession at around the £150m (ESPN) mark.
At the time of City’s pursuit for a number nine, Chelsea were also attempting to land a player in the same position.
They eventually landed upon Romelu Lukaku, but not before they dabbled in the idea of pinching Kane from their capital city adversaries.

According to ESPN, the Blues asked Tottenham for updates about their vice-skipper throughout the period of his possible departure.
Listen to the words of wisdom
Kane could be on the move this time around, a decision Sheringham firmly supported.
“It’s a tough one. He’s got to eye up the situation the same as I did. It’s a short career. You get probably 12, 14 years if you’re lucky,” said the former Spurs and Manchester United attacker.
“He’s come into again another crossroads in his career of: what do I do? Do I stay at a club that might challenge, or do I go somewhere that I know are going challenge?
“And if I was advising him, which Tottenham supporters are not very happy about when I say this, you want to be playing at the highest level.

“You want to be playing in Champions League finals, you want to be playing at the end of the season for the league title.
“If you want to do that, I think he needs to leave.”
Whilst it’s unlikely Chelsea will sign Kane, considering they have another £100m forward they need to work on first, fans can always dream.
