Timo Werner admitted to Football Focus that he has never endured a goal-scoring drought like the one he’s suffering at Chelsea currently.
Werner is on a run of just one goal in 17 Premier League matches, which is a baron spell unbeknown to a striker of his calibre.
During his last season at RB Leipzig, the 24-year-old never went longer than four Bundesliga games without scoring.

This ensured he managed 34 goals in 45 appearances before moving to Chelsea last summer.
His return for the Blues stands at just 10 goals in 35 appearances.
The Germany forward did end a stretch of 14 goalless domestic fixtures against Newcastle United last month, but hit a blank in the following two ties.

“It was tough for me because I want to help the team,” confessed Werner about his labours infront of goal.
“I want to score, it’s in my nature, I am a striker.”
“I never had it in my career before.”
There has been a definite improvement in Werner’s mood and energy since Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard.

Although not yet back to his prolific best, £170,000 per-week (Spotrac) signing thought he was getting closer to a return.
“Now I hope this period is gone and I score a few more goals until the end of the season,” Werner continued.
“I think my form is going up and getting better and better. Maybe this year is not the year of goal scoring for Timo but at the end I will reflect on the season.
“I have learned a lot. I know exactly the teams we play against, how they play.”
These types of turmoil’s can be seen throughout Chelsea’s squad, especially where the new recruits are concerned.

Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz’s issues have been well documented.
Even Ben Chilwell, who began life so brightly at Stamford Bridge, has taken a dip.
Tuchel just needs time to transform his struggling stars back to their old selves.
