Chelsea are being linked with Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi – but some Blues fans on Twitter are not happy with the transfer speculation.

Well-respected Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Chelsea have expressed interest in the 26-year-old winger.

The report explains that they are keen on the £35million-rated star this summer, along with Borussia Dortmund and West Ham.

Berardi is a goalscoring right-winger who netted 17 goals in 30 league games last season in Italy, which means he outscored any Chelsea player last year.

He’s predominately left-footed so loves to cut infield to unleash shots. Also, he’s a creative playmaker that ghosts around the final third into pockets of space.

Some Chelsea fans don’t want Berardi

Berardi was part of the Italy squad that won Euro 2020 this summer. He featured in all-but one of their games during the competition, and played in the win over England in the final.

He’s an attacker that looks in great form right now, plus he should soon be entering his peak years.

However, a selection of the Chelsea fanbase don’t want to sign the £61,000-a-week Sassuolo man.

It’s worth pointing out he’s spent his entire senior career with Italian club Sassuolo. In addition, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea squad is already stacked with plenty of wide talents. The likes of Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic play on the wings.
