Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has reacted to fans’ singing his name during the 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Saturday.

After playing for just 35 minutes at Anfield, Mudryk made headlines with his debut performance for the Blues.

Alongside Hakim Ziyech, the 22-year-old arguably caused the most problems to Liverpool’s defence in the game despite his limited minutes.

It was exactly the debut that the travelling Chelsea fans in the stadium wanted to see from the Premier League’s most-expensive January signing.

It did not take long for the fans to start singing his name in the stands.

The lyrics of the chant highlight the Ukraine international’s transfer process, in which he reportedly flew to London alongside senior Chelsea executives following a meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk in Turkey.

It also mentions how Mudryk, whom previous reports suggested was very close to joining Arsenal, chose to join Chelsea, instead.

Obviously, it would not be complete if it does not point out how Chelsea have won two Champions League trophies — something Arsenal have yet to achieve.

The winger himself seems to enjoy the fan support and showed his appreciation of it on social media.

He reposted the video on an Instagram story alongside smiley face and heart emojis.
