It was Nicolas Jackson who opened the scoring for Chelsea in their 2-1 win against Leicester City over the weekend.
Nicolas Jackson netted in the 15th minute for Chelsea after coming out on top in a battle with Wout Faes.
Faes was unable to shake Jackson off before the striker managed to poke the ball past Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.
It was his seventh goal of the season. Jamie O’Hara now thinks Jackson is proving his doubters wrong.

Nicolas Jackson talks Leicester strike
In the end, it was a really tidy finish from Jackson. Enzo Maresca will be really pleased with how he has taken his chances this term.
What makes it even more impressive is the fact that Leicester’s defenders had anticipated what Jackson was going to do, which the 23-year-old was aware of, yet he still managed to find the back of the net comfortably.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website about his goal, Jackson said: “For my goal, I saw the defender had anticipated my move so I needed to be quick and I know the goalkeeper is good so that’s why I tried to finish as soon as possible.
“I’m happy here — I’m happy with my friends and my teammates. I’m trying to help the team each game.”
Like O’Hara, Peter Crouch has also been impressed with Jackson, who has helped Chelsea to move within a point of Manchester City.

What did Enzo Maresca make of Nicolas Jackson’s performance against Leicester?
Maresca would have been happy with Jackson after his goal at the King Power Stadium. However, he also seems to be more than satisfied with what the Senegalese is doing without the ball.
Maresca discussed Jackson’s performance after the game and said: “We are very happy with the way Nico is playing on the ball but especially in the way he is playing off the ball — the way he is pressing.”
Chelsea spent most of the summer transfer window trying to sign a new striker. In the end, they failed to do that, with No.1 target Victor Osimhen going on to join Galatasaray from Napoli on loan.
At the time, many Chelsea supporters were disappointed that the club could not get a deal over the line. Fast forward to now, though, and not much is being said about Osimhen among the Chelsea fanbase.
Fans have forgotten about the Nigerian as Jackson continues to score goals for Maresca’s side.
