Darren Bent has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur should raid Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea if Harry Kane leaves in the summer.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent proposed the idea of his former side stealing Lukaku from their London rivals as a way to fill Kane’s potentially departing boots.
Who are you taking: Lukaku or Kane?
The future of both strikers is up for debate right now.
Kane will inevitably be linked with a move away from Tottenham at the end of the season, as he was around this time last year.
Manchester City attempted to sign the England captain, but Daniel Levy rejected their advances, slapping a price tag of around £150m (Telegraph) on his crowning jewel.

Kane is set to receive the ‘you won’t win any trophies at Spurs’ line from all corners of the sport, something that may be playing on his mind ahead of the transfer market.
Meanwhile across the capital, Lukaku might also be considering a change of scenery, but for different reasons.
His return to Chelsea has not exactly gone to plan.
After a bright start to life in blue again, the Belgian international can hardly buy a goal, let alone a run in the team.
Kai Havertz is now Thomas Tuchel’s first-choice striker, leaving the player with the number nine on his shirt rather surplice to requirements.
Having already declared his desire to one day play in Serie A again, Lukaku could be formulating a plan to push for an exit once the appropriate time arises.

Lukaku does love the Tottenham coach
The 28-year-old would certainly welcome a reunion with Antonio Conte, the manager who revitalised him at Inter Milan.
Unfortunately for the centre-forward, he and Conte will not join forces whilst Kante is still part of the Spurs squad.
“As long as Antonio Conte is there, I don’t think Harry Kane will go anywhere. It looks like he’s getting the best out of him, there’s a real mutual respect there you’d have to say,” admitted Bent.
“But if the worse came to the worse and Harry Kane did leave and go elsewhere, if they could get Lukaku in, we’ve seen Conte get the best out of Romelu Lukaku.
“Even down to his nutrition, that was the best I’ve ever seen him look last season and at the start of this season.
“If there’s an opportunity and Kane leaves and Conte can get Lukaku, I’d go out all day to get him, all day. I think someone who has got Premier League experience, there’d be no one better to bring in to replace Harry Kane.

“I know they’re completely different in terms of players, Harry Kane dropping in, technically a better footballer. But Lukaku would be an adequate replacement, certainly with what he did with Antonio Conte already. So, I would.”
Lukaku linking up with Conte at Spurs would be up there with the most controversial exchanges in modern Premier League history.
Almost at the Sol Campbell or William Gallas level of loyalty.
Whilst it’s unlikely to happen, we will not rule it out until the fat lady sings (or Lukaku signs).
