Nicolas Jackson has started work this week as Chelsea’s newest signing this summer.
Chelsea completed the signing of Nicolas Jackson earlier in the transfer window, spending £32million (Daily Mail) to snatch him away from Spanish club Villarreal.
The 22-year-old has arrived at Stamford Bridge as an exciting young striker, which is a position the Blues definitely need to find a solution for moving forward.
He enjoyed a real breakout first-team season last year with 13 goals across all competitions for Villarreal. Hopefully, there’s now much more to come from him in Chelsea colours.

Jackson has jokingly shared what he’s already found very difficult during his first few days at Chelsea. Yes, it’s the weather in England.
Many will have found the recent weather in the country fairly hot, but it’s still a shock for someone moving from Spain.
“Here is cold too not like Spain,” Jackson replied on his own Instagram post.

We can only wish the Senegal international good luck for when the winter months start in England!
He may soon need to invest in a hat and some gloves.

Jackson took part in his first training session at Chelsea on Tuesday with his teammates, as confirmed by the club’s official website.
As it stands, we can see him and Armando Broja fighting it out for the main centre-forward position next season. There’s still time for the Blues to dip into the transfer market and recruit a high-profile No 9, though.
Despite being just 22, Jackson looks like a really physical forward with the pace and strength to adapt well to the Premier League.
We’re now intrigued to see how much he can impress Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino during pre-season.
